Australian Leadership Awards Scholarships
The Australian Leadership Awards (ALA) Program has been extended to the Caribbean!
ALA Scholarships are now available to citizens of Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Saint Kitts & Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, and Trinidad & Tobago.
Postgraduate students interested in pursuing a Masters or Doctorate degree at an Australian university can apply for ALA Scholarships in the priority areas of: disability, economic growth, education, environment, food security, gender, governance, health, human rights, infrastructure, regional stability, rural development, water and sanitation.
Aimed at building capacity in developing nations, selection for ALA Scholarships is highly competitive and is based on academic excellence, leadership potential, and potential impact on return home.
Applications for the 2011 intake opened on 10 March 2010 and close on 30 June 2010.
